Extra Charges

• Additional passenger fee for vans (maximum $3 per trip): $1.00
• Up to one child under 6 rides without extra passenger charge
• Surcharge for each trip originating at the Reagan National Airport taxi stand: $2.50
• Luggage: Each piece of luggage the operator places in trunk: $0.50
  (Does not apply to briefcases, purses, grocery bags, and parcels of similar size)
• Telephone dispatch fee: $2.00
• Waiting time $25.00 per hour, includes:
  • time consumed while taxi is waiting for passenger beginning 5 mins after the time of arrival at the pick up location. No time shall be charged for premature pick up;
  • time consumed while taxicab is stopped or slowed to a speed of less than 10 mph for longer than 60 secs;
  • time consumed for delays and stopovers en route at the direction of the passenger.
• Snow emergency, as declared by Mayor or Chairman of the DC Taxicab Commission (automatically expires after 12 hours unless extended) $15.00
